annual banquet was held in May at Sam Choy's in Kapahulu! Pictured
below are many of our members who enjoyed a great program, dinner, and of
course the company of other section members!

Much of an organization’s success hinges on successful teamwork. Here are 12
tips for building a successful team in your section or division.
Clear Expectations - Have expectations been
communicated?
Context - Do team members understand why they are participating on
the team?
Commitment - Do they want to participate?
Competence - Are the appropriate people participating?
Charter
- Has the team designed strategies to
accomplish the mission?
Control - Do they have enough freedom, empowerment, and ownership to
accomplish their charter?
Collaboration - Does the team understand the stages of group
development?
Communication - Are team members clear about the priority of their
tasks?
Creative Innovation - Is the organization interested in change and
does it value creative thinking?
Consequences - Do team members feel responsible and accountable?
Coordination - Are teams coordinated by a central leadership team?
Cultural Change - Does the organization recognize that the team-based
culture of the future is different from the traditional, hierarchical
organization it may be currently?
